Keeping Fathers in Families (New Video)

1,700 Nepalis leave Nepal every day to try to find work abroad to support their families! BSF is working to change that. We are providing new opportunities so more fathers, like Raju, can remain with their loving families in Nepal.
On my last visit to Nepal, I had the privilege to meet with a lovely family...Raju, Phulmaya and their two precious daughters...and a large extended family of goats! Raju's smile is infectious and you can see the love he has for his family. His loving wife has shouldered the burden of raising their two daughters on her own while Raju has gone to India for years to try to find work. This separation has strained relationships in the family.
Thankfully, after BSF heard of their situation, the family were invited to participate in a BSF family strengthening program in Dhapakhel, Nepal. Raju and Phulmaya were given new work opportunities to help them generate more income. Raju no longer needed to go abroad. After completing the program, their new goat herd of 6 had grown to 15! Raju and Phulmaya were now able to meet the needs of their children. And best of all, Phulmaya and the girls were able to keep their loving father in the family!
