Once trapped in survival mode, Puu struggled with unstable income and fading confidence as a mother. Through training, support, and the gift of a motorbike sidecar, she rebuilt both her livelihood and her hope—now earning steady income, serving her community, and planning for her son’s future. What changed her life wasn’t just opportunity, but restored dignity and belief in her ability to rise again.

In a small home in Choeng Doi, seven lives depend on one woman—Grandmother Ladda. Each day she collected recyclables just to put food on the table. She had skills and determination, but lacked opportunity. Through the Building Strong Families program, she received support to start frog farming and grow mushrooms at home. Today, her family has steady income, renewed hope, and a grandmother confident she can build a stronger future for those she loves.

Boo Der, an Akha mother of five, has long battled the challenges of seasonal farm work and scarce income. After joining the BSF program, she gained new skills, renewed confidence, and the chance to start a small pig-raising business. What began with three pigs has grown into a sustainable livelihood — bringing stability, dignity, and fresh hope back into her home.
