Celebrating with Family Graduates

We are excited to say that families from BSF’s first program in Sunakothi, Nepal have now completed their activities and graduated!

To celebrate their achievements, BSF held a three-day Family Camp in one of Nepal’s beautiful cities, Pokhara. BSF families spent quality time with each other while exploring new places and participating in fun activities.

Families reflected on what they had learnt during BSF Training Days and Family Fun Days. They were excited to look through pictures and videos of their activities during the program. Participants were given time to share their thoughts and recall their time with BSF.

Suntali’s daughter, Sarmila, shared how the trainings had helped her understand more about the importance of family, the rights of women and children, and the value of respecting parents.

Suntali and Sarmila said, “We have changed so much when we compare our lives before and after our time in the BSF program. BSF has helped our family develop in many ways. Before, we were like birds in a cage. We had little knowledge about anything, but the training that we attained has taught us so many things. We have learnt how we can make our family happier and stronger. It has brought a positive thinking within us and has changed our behaviour. The fun days we celebrated gave us the opportunity to spend time with our family and make memories that will never fade away.

During the camp, the families had an opportunity to visit many different beautiful places and share a lot smiles with each other.

Lila Rai had never travelled with her grandchildren and was so happy to visit different exciting landmarks with them. She explained how BSF supported her to keep her grandchildren in a family. Through the BSF program she gained a better understanding about the importance of keeping children in a loving family and how to raise them well.

Sapana Magar shared, "I am so thankful to BSF for everything. BSF has been my family for 18 months and I cannot thank them enough for what they have done for me. BSF has brought my family to Pokhara which I could never have done on my own. I have had an amazing opportunity and learnt so many new things.

We want to congratulate all our graduating families from Sunakothi for completing their program with us. We are so encouraged to hear of the ways they have developed and grown so they can keep their children in a loving and strong family. We have been blessed to spend time with them and have learnt much from them as well. We look forward to staying in contact in the months ahead as they are now a part of the extended BSF family as well.
